Remember the Harry Potter books? Do you remember when all the kids in your class were hauling a huge book around and arguing about who got to be Harry when they were playing during recess? I sure do. All of my friends have read the series. I never did though. It's what, ten years after the fact? So last month I (finally) read a Harry Potter book and jumped on the damn Harry Potter-fan-bandwagon. I am currently on book six. Ten years from now I will probably end up reading Twilight, too. Honestly though, I think reading a book when it's popular is stupid. It's a lot more fun to read it later, when nobody actually gives a damn. Though I think the best part is that you can pick up a hard-cover copy for $1 or less at a garage sale, that or the shocked expression on everyone's face when you tell them you're reading it for the first time.
